Even though Husky Stadium is closed for renovation this coming season, this long-standing Husky tradition is still going to be held on September 15th when the UW takes on Portland State at Century Link Field in downtown Seattle (home of the Seahawks). The Husky Band Foundation, in conjunction with Silver Lake Winery, will once again be hosting the next event at its Tasting Room facility in Woodinville on Thursday, March 8th from 5-8PM. All attendees will not only enjoy the same great food and wine samples that everyone enjoyed at the club’s kick-off event last May, but will also be able to watch the Huskies’ game at the same time. They will also offer Manny’s Pale Ale from Georgetown Brewing. The following locations are participating: Duke's ChowderHouse at Greenlake, Lake Union, and the Tacoma locations from 5 - 9 p.m. A major percentage of proceeds will go toward supporting travel expenses during football season for the Husky Band and Cheer/Pom Squads.
