Symposium Golf Event
The symposium golf event will take place Friday afternoon at Willow's Run Golf Course with tee times beginning at 12:30 PM.
The course is about 30 minutes
from the University of Washington campus and transportation will be provided for all those who wish to attend. We are
planning a 4-man scramble format. Rental clubs will also be available for those who don't wish to bring their own, but
they must be reserved on your registration form to ensure enough clubs are available. Club rental will be an additional $35 + tax.
Golf fees are $45/person and will include:

Travel east for .5 miles to 15th Ave NE. Turn southbound on 15th Ave NE and proceed for .5 to NE 135th. Turn west on 135th and go up the hill to the entrance to the golf course which will be on your right. Look for signs marking your turn into Jackson Park. GREEN FEES: $28 daily $33 weekend 20 min. from campus RATING: *** Better than average but tough to walk; gets lots of play because of location in the city. Nile Golf Course6601 244th S.W. 425-776-5154 (Mountlake Terrace)Directions: From I-5 N take exit #177 to 244th SW - 205th St. Travel westbound for .3 of a mile to the golf course entrance, which will be on your right.. Note: Look for the Nile Temple entrance and this will take you into the grounds of the golf course and clubhouse. GREEN FEES: $27 daily $32 weekend 30 min from campus RATING: ** OK course; hilly terrain; short yardage with only 2 sets of tees Lynnwood Golf Course20200 68th Ave. W. 425-672-4653 (Lynnwood)Directions: From I-5 N&S take exit #179 and travel west on 220th St. SW. Proceed to Aurora Ave (Hwy 99) and turn right (North). Follow to 208th St. SW and turn left. Then take the immediate right on 68th Ave. W. The entrance to the golf course is on 68th and 204th. The golf course is located adjacent to Edmonds Community College campus. GREEN FEES: $27 daily $31 weekend 35 min. from campus RATING: ***+ Very nice track; easy to walk; tight fairways. Short but challenging. Bellevue Municipal Golf Course5500 140th NE 425-452-7250 (Bellevue)Directions: Travel east on hwy 520 across the Evergreen floating bridge. Continue east to 148th Ave. NE. Go north on 148th for .8 mile to NE 40th. Go west for .5 mile to 140th NE. Turn North and go 1 mile to the course. GREEN FEES: $29 daily $33 weekend 35 min. from campus RATING: *** Easy to walk muny course that gets lots of play. Harbour Point Golf Course11817 Harbour Point Boulevard 800-233-3128 425-355-6060 (Mukilteo)Directions: From I-5 N take exit # 182 (I-405 N turns into hwy 525). Proceed west on hyw 525 and merge onto hwy 99. Turn left onto the Mukilteo Spdwy. Once on the Mukilteo Spdwy, go to the second light and turn left onto Harbour Pointe Blvd. Proceed to the course located on your right. GREEN FEES: $49 Daily $59 weekend 40 min. from campus RATING: ***** Excellent track with water and sand coming into play on nearly every hole. Very challenging and demanding. Front nine is easily walked but the back nine has hilly terrain. Breathtaking view of Puget Sound from the 11th hole. Wet conditions in the winter. Willows Run Golf course10402 Willows Road NE 425-883-1200 (Redmond)Directions: Travel east on hwy 520 across the Evergreen floating bridge. Take the I-405 North exit. From I-405 North bound take the 124th St. exit (Totem Lake). Travel eastbound on 124th St. for 1.4 miles to Willows Road NE. Turn right on Willows Road NE. Proceed on Willows Road NE for 1 mile to the golf course which will be on your left hand side. GREEN FEES: $42 daily $54 weekend 45 min from campus RATING: ***** Flat links style courses. Excellent track. There are two 18 hole courses; Coyote Creek and Eagles Talon. Eagles talon is the longer and more challenging of the two. Walter Hall Golf Course1226 W. Casino Rd. 425-353-4653 (South Everett)Directions: From I-5 N take exit #189 to Hwy 526 W. Turn west and travel .6 miles to Evergreen Way. Turn South. Proceed .1 of a mile to West Casino Road. On W Casino Road turn west and travel 1 mile to the golf course located on your left. GREEN FEES: $20 daily $24 weekend 45 min. from campus RATING: *** Very walkable; very forgiving wide open fairways; only three sand traps on the entire course. The price is right. The back nine is very hilly and most would like to ride. Legion Memorial Golf Course144 W. Marine View Drive (Everett) 425-259-4653Directions: From I-5 N take exit #195. Turn left on Marine View Drive and follow for 2.1 miles to the golf course. Look for a sign to turn left onto the course. GREEN FEES: $28 Daily $32 weekend 60 min from campus RATING: **** Easy to walk; upgraded in 1999 to include huge greens and lots of bunkers. Battle Creek Golf Course6006 Meridian Ave. N. (Marysville) 360-659-7931Directions: From I-5 N take exit #199 (Tulalip-Marysville). Go west on Marine Dr. for 2.75 miles. Turn right on Meridian Avenue. Travel north for .7 miles to the course. Note: Look for a sign at the turn on Meridian Avenue. GREEN FEES: $26 daily $33 weekend 75 min from campus RATING: **** Worth the drive if you have the time. Very challenging course with hilly terrain. Tight fairways lined with trees. Washington National Golf Course14330 SE Husky Way (Auburn) 253-333-5000Directions: Call the course for directions. GREEN FEES: $79 daily $94 weekend 90 min. from campus RATING: ***** This is the home course for the UW Husky golf team. It's an excellent course that is challenging and meets resort expectations. Golf Club at Newcastle15500 Six Penny Lane (Newcastle)Directions: From I-405 take exit #10 Coal Creek Parkway. Follow for 2.5 miles to Coal Creek Marketplace Shopping Center. Turn left at signal light on SE Newcastle Way. Follow up the hill to stop sign. Turn left on Newcastle Golf Club Road. Continue for 1.4 miles. Turn right at 155th. Turn right onto Six Penny Lane and follow to the course entrance. GREEN FEES: China Creek - $110 Daily and weekend Coal Creek - $160 Daily and weekend 45 minutes from campus RATING: ***** Two outstanding 18 hole courses. Coal Creek has more stunning views than China Creek. They both meet resort expectations. |
